Highlights:1. Bacteria remain a major cause of bacterial sepsis.2. The most common causal agent in septicaemia was the gram-positive bacterium. Abstract: Background: primary sepsis. Gram-negative bacteria are commonly isolated from sepsis patients. However, infections have also increased recently. Objective: To identify pattern infection patients Internal Medicine inpatient ward Dr. Soetomo General Academic Hospital, Surabaya, Indonesia. Material and Method: This retrospective study reviewed medical records all Ward Indonesia January 1 – December 31, 2016. Result: From 179 eligible reviewed, there 103 (57.5%) 76 (43.5%) isolates Staphylococcus hominins (30 isolates) Escherichia coli isolates), 43 showed multi-drug resistant organisms; ESBL 23 isolates, Klebsiella pneumoniae 3 oxytoca 2 Methilcillin Resistance aureus 5 isolates. Conclusion: causative bacteria. hominis coli. organisms found Methilcillin-Resistant (MRSA), ESBL, pneumonia ESBL. Among organism infection, prevalent one.
